38-Year-Old Fatally Injured Monday at Atlantic Avenue and East Rose Street

COMPTON, CA, (July 21, 2025) - A tragic two-vehicle crash early Monday morning in Compton claimed the life of 38-year-old Erick Perez Pineda, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. The incident took place around 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and East Rose Street, near East Rancho Dominguez Park.

Authorities said a motorcycle and a vehicle collided at the location, but details about what led to the accident remain under investigation. Pineda was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash. His city of residence was not disclosed, and officials have not confirmed whether he was operating the motorcycle or riding in the vehicle.
