Child airlifted to Pediatric Intensive Care Unit after Friday bicycle crash on West Drive

A 10-year-old boy was seriously injured Friday afternoon in Travelers Rest when his bicycle was struck by a delivery truck, authorities said.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) reported that the accident occurred around 5:25 p.m. on West Drive, involving an Amazon delivery truck and Ethan Leclerc.
Ethan Leclerc was seriously injured Friday when an Amazon delivery truck hit the bicycle he was riding on West Drive in Travelers Rest.
Ethan suffered severe injuries and was airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where he remains in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
Officials have not released further details regarding the cause of the crash. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family with medical and related expenses.
