A cooking fire broke out in a first-floor apartment at 1520 Archer Rd., resulting in smoke damage throughout the unit with no further spread of the flames. Emergency responders arrived at the scene for the Box 3064 call on Jan. 13 at 8:11 a.m., where Engine companies 1 and 2 swiftly extinguished the fire.
