A driver freed themselves from the wreckage in a single-vehicle accident on the New Jersey Turnpike southbound at mile marker 54 early Jan. 3. Emergency medical services arrived to check the driver for injuries. The incident happened near Bordentown in Burlington County and involved no other vehicles. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash, which occurred around 12:37 a.m.
