Early-morning two-vehicle crash on 30th Street West leaves one dead

A two-vehicle collision early Thursday morning at a Lancaster intersection claimed the life of a 39-year-old woman driving a Volkswagen Passat, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. 

The crash involved an 18-wheeler and occurred around 6:45 a.m., leaving the car trapped and dragged by the truck.
