Legal Insights

In cases such as this involving motor vehicle crashes, independent investigations play a crucial role in uncovering contributing factors.

“In addition to the diligent work of law enforcement, an attorney can re-interview important witnesses, analyze any surveillance video from the scene of the crash, and obtain phone and texting records of the liable party,” said Candice Bond, managing partner at Bond Legal, and a national analyst for Newsline. “Road conditions, signage visibility, and road lighting are all possible contributing factors that are considered and must be thoroughly examined.”

  • Preserve evidence through prompt action to support potential claims.
  • Re-examine witness statements and digital records for accuracy.
  • Assess environmental factors like road design and visibility.

Pending results from the ongoing investigation, Jennings' family may pursue a wrongful death claim to seek compensation for loss of companionship, pain, suffering, and emotional distress.

“The stress and sorrow can be extremely overwhelming after losing a loved one in an accident,” said Stefano Formica, of counsel with Bond Legal. “We understand just what families are forced to go through, and having their rights protected is vital. A wrongful death lawyer will stay updated on the official investigation and help ensure that their best interests are taken care of.”
