A construction company accidentally severed an oil cooling power line at 131 Mystic St., resulting in a spill of more than 100 gallons of oil. Emergency responders have deployed oil booms to contain the spill and alerted the state hazardous materials team. The incident occurred on Jan. 12 at 11:09 a.m. Officials are actively managing the haz-mat situation on scene to minimize potential environmental damage.
