A chimney fire broke out at a home on Old State Road in Charlestown, but emergency crews swiftly contained the flames with no damage to the structure. Firefighters responded to the scene at 43 Old State Road shortly after 9:47 a.m. on March 8. The fire remained limited to the chimney, and no one was hurt in the incident. An engine company provided mutual aid to help cover the response efforts.
