Firefighters responded swiftly to a chimney fire that erupted at a 1.5-story wood frame house on Ridgewood Way late Friday evening. The incident was reported around 8:02 p.m. on Jan. 17, with initial calls describing visible flames shooting from the chimney. Local emergency crews arrived quickly to battle the blaze and contain the damage to the structure.
