Box Truck Driver Trapped After Rear-Ending Tractor-Trailer on Mass Pike

A serious crash on the eastbound Massachusetts Turnpike at mile marker 54.2 has left the driver of a box truck heavily entrapped following a collision with the rear of a tractor-trailer. Emergency crews are using the jaws of life to extricate the driver, who sustained multiple system trauma. A medical helicopter has been called to airlift the patient to a nearby hospital, with a landing zone established right on the highway.
