Firefighters tackled intense flames at a home on McAlpine Street where possible entrapment was reported, leading to a second alarm response. Crews arrived at 711 McAlpine St. on Jan. 17 at 10:31 a.m., deploying multiple hoses while facing detonations from live ammunition and an explosion about 5 feet from the back of the building. Early searches found no one trapped, and a secondary water source was set up as all teams managed the incident.
