A Sept. 25 crash on East Loop 338 claimed the life of a child and left two drivers injured, according to the Odessa Police Department.
Investigators said the collision occurred around 7:09 a.m. when a Mitsubishi Outlander attempted a left turn onto 87th Street. A Ford Maverick pickup, driven by 25-year-old Adrian Colon, collided with the Mitsubishi, which then struck the base of a utility pole.

Both drivers were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. A 9-year-old passenger in the Mitsubishi was also taken to the hospital but later died, police said.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
