A working fire broke out on the first floor of a residence at 1285 Calkins Road in Palmer on Jan. 11. Firefighters from the Three Rivers Fire Department arrived at the scene and reported flames visible on the first floor. They requested Engine 2 to lay a line to fight the blaze, while police summoned emergency medical services for an individual suffering from burns.
