A 70-year-old man was airlifted to a trauma center after suffering a severe head laceration and heavy bleeding from a fall, during which he lost consciousness. Emergency medical services arrived at the scene on 1700 Delsea Drive South in Rio Grande, New Jersey, on Jan. 19 around 7:09 a.m. The man's critical condition led responders to call for a helicopter to expedite transport to the hospital.
